Carson McTeer has recently won the position of Principal Tuba with the West Virginia Symphony. He will begin playing with the orchestra in September 2018. In addition to his duties with the WVSO, Carson teaches Tuba and Euphonium at West Virginia University and Miami University (Ohio). He previously served as principal tuba of the Cincinnati Symphony for 8 seasons. Carson has also performed with the New York Philharmonic, Pittsburgh Symphony, Minnesota Orchestra, Baltimore Symphony, Detroit Symphony, Louisville Orchestra, Houston Symphony, and Colorado Symphony among others.
